LANIER HEALTH SERVICES

was recently designated by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama as a Tier One Hospital.  This designation was given to Lanier for their outstanding performance in the areas of Quality, Patient Safety and Financial Awareness. 

Tier One Hospitals are recognized for achieving the highest level of compliance in each of these areas.  Blue Cross Blue Shield members whose plans recognize the tiered system and who utilize Tier One Hospitals will receive the greatest level of plan benefit, which may reduce their co-pays and deductibles by up to 50% as compared to a Tier Two Hospital.  

Lanier has implemented Quality Teams who oversee the areas of patient safety and quality.  Team leaders Alison Yarbrough, RN and Clinical Resource Manager, and Allison Richards, RN are shown with Dr. Joe Downs, Chairman of the Performance Improvement Committee of the Medical Staff.
